Huang Guanyin Tea (Yellow Goddess)
A Floral Wuyi Oolong
Jipin Grade (Spring 2010) - 49 grams
A new arrival to the Wuyi Mountain, she is a hybrid of two teas: Tieguanyin (Iron Goddess) and Huang Jingui (Golden Osmanthus).
Both teas come from Southern Fujian province, where people like their oolongs green and fragrant, with minimal roasting.
Iron Goddess is celebrated for its fantastic aroma, while Golden Osmanthus is remembered for its sweet, honeyed taste. This Jipin grade Huang Guanyin tea marries the two, and being an Wuyi tea, is roasted using the traditional method.
The end result? A perfect blend of fragrance and fire, with a full body and many floral notes. Simply unforgettable.
This tea is available as part of the Wuyi 7-in-1 Sampler. You can also buy it separately on its own in this page.

| A Grade - Very high value for the cost |
It is my first experience on Wuyi teas and I'm surprised with the heavy and thick taste of Tieluohan. It seems more full-bodied and heavy roasted taste than the Huang Guanyin tea.
Tieluohan is perfect for a cold and rainy morning of winter, a tea with strong character but with a small subtle features and a long aftertaste. My rating is 5.
Huang Guanyin tea is lighter but more fruity and flowery, an incredible mix for a green drinker like me. My rating is 5. Both are a very high value for the cost.
